ManninSight Invites Community to Support Sight Matters at ‘Bowls for All’ Charity Event

ManninSight, the bespoke fundraising arm of Sight Matters, is inviting the Isle of Man community to take part in Bowls for All, a fun and inclusive charity crown green bowling event taking place at Ballaugh Bowling Club on Saturday, 19 September 2026.

Designed to welcome players of all abilities, Bowls for All combines friendly competition with fundraising to support the vital work of Sight Matters. Teams of four will enjoy a varied programme of target bowls, obstacle bowls, short-format doubles and roll-ups, ensuring an entertaining day for experienced bowlers and newcomers alike.

Competitors will have the chance to win cash prizes, generously sponsored by Paul Carey & Sons Ltd, as well as compete for the prestigious ManninSight – Reo Carey Cup.

Registration begins at 10.00am with bacon baps on arrival, and the £200 entry fee per team includes refreshments throughout the day, afternoon tea and the prize presentation. With places limited, organisers are encouraging teams to book early.

“Bowls for All is a fantastic opportunity for people to enjoy a great day out while making a real difference,” said Cathryn Bradley of Sight Matters. “Every team taking part will help raise vital funds that enable Sight Matters to continue supporting people across the Isle of Man who are living with sight loss. Whether you’re a seasoned bowler or trying the sport for the first time, everyone is welcome.”

ManninSight is the fundraising arm of Sight Matters, operating under the Manx Blind Welfare Society (Registered Charity No. 132). Through events such as Bowls for All, the charity raises essential funds to continue providing services, advice and support for people living with sight loss across the Island.
